International Rugby Tournament Sponsored By L&M Healthcare

We’re delighted to announce that award winning L&M Healthcare are the main sponsor for our international tournament. L&M are the company that are currently building their latest home on the land that was formally the car park in front of the clubhouse.

The new home, which will open to residents in September, will be called Hulton House after our first President Frederick Campbell Hulton. You can read more about L&M’s sponsorship here.

The international tournament which will take place at Lightfoot Green will consist of teams from Formia (Italy), Dendermonde (Belgium) plus the Preston City Twin Town team from Almelo (Holland). Local sides Blackburn, Thornton Cleveleys and Broughton (Salford) who are also celebrating their 150^thAnniversary, are all taking part along with the hosts.

A Women’s team from St Louis, Missouri, USA are travelling over and will be playing games on both the Saturday against Preston Grasshoppers Women and on Sunday a Sally Watson Memorial side.
