Cycling’s World & Commonwealth Champion & Olympic medalist Rob Hayles will be at the Rollapaluza event this Friday demonstrating the Beacon Bikes range and signing copies of his book.

Preston Grasshoppers RFC is holding a rather unique night which should prove to be quite a spectacle. Rollapaluza, a unique cycle sport, comes to Lightfoot Green on Friday 18th October and sees two cyclists battle it out on a pair of Rollapaluza Rollers connected to a giant dial over a simulated 500m distance at speeds in excess of 50mph. The event is open to anyone to have a go and there will also be appearances from star riders. Tickets are £1o and are available on the door and in advance from club manager Richard Ellis. The cost includes a sausage/bacon butty as well as chips. The night should be great fun and unlike anything that’s been seen at Lightfoot Green before!
