This season Preston Grasshoppers’ Community Coach, Kai Burns, has as usual been busy in the local schools and, over February and March organised a Schools’ Development League for year 8 students. Participating schools were: Archbishop Temple, Ashton, Broughton, Corpus Christi and Our Ladies. In a close finish, Archbishop just pipped Broughton to win the tournament. The league was sponsored by local builder and club sponsor, The Marcus Worthington Group and the winning school team played Hoppers U.12s as a curtain-raiser to the recent First XV league match against Loughborough Students.
