Charity Golf Day Rescheduled

Rescheduling of Preston Grasshoppers Charity Golf Event to Friday 25 September 2020

Following the dramatic Covid-19 developments across the country and world this week, and taking account of the Government’s predictions for how the virus is expected to develop by 1 May, we have decided that in the interest of everyone’s safety we need to reschedule our Charity Golf Day at Ashton and Lea Golf Club.

With the event already sold out and fully sponsored, it goes without saying that this is a bit of a disappointment but in the great scheme of things we hope it will eventually turn out to be a relatively minor inconvenience.

We have been fortunate to secure an alternative date at Ashton and Lea on Friday 25 September 2020, and hope that by then we will all be able to enjoy the event even more than we would have done in May.

It goes without saying that we hope that all involved will maintain their support and commitment to the Hoppers and to our three Charities , St Catherine’s Hospice, Alive and Kicking and the Alzheimer’s Society.

Sponsors and Participants have been notified and we thank all of them for their enthusiastic support for this event and in particular our main event sponsor Infinium.

I know you will recognise that we have made this decision very reluctantly. We have made it in the interest of all concerned and have made it early, hopefully putting in place a long enough delay to enable an equally enjoyable and successful event to be held in September.
