| Report : | AROUND THE TEAMS IN THE MILLER HOMES LEAGUES
Hoppers 4 (Casuals) did not fare well over the holiday period and have dropped two places to 7th in Division 1 since the last report. An away loss at Wirral 2 was followed by a home loss to Leigh 2 by 0-21. Today’s scheduled home game is against Didsbury TH who are one place below.
It’s a hard life in Division 3N for Hoppers 5 who find themselves just above the drop zone in 11th place although they have games in hand, fixtures over the Christmas period being victims of the weather. Today they travel to Fylde 3 who sit one place above just one point to the good having played a game more.
Things are even bleaker for Hoppers 6 who find themselves bottom of the pile in Division 4N. An encouraging 8-0 win away at Fylde 4 was followed by a home loss to LSH 3 by 8-19. Some hope today of improving their position, however, since they are at home to Aspull 2 who are one of three clubs stranded at the foot of the table on 27 points.
Better news of Hoppers 7 who remain top of Division 5N. Home wins
at home to Colne & Nelson 2 and 64-7 over Chorley 2 keep them one point ahead of Garstang 2. Today they are away at Lostock 1 who are 5th in the table.
In the Lancashire & Cheshire League, Hoppers Senior Colts are scheduled to play Orrell away tomorrow.
