Friday night saw the Annual Sportsman’s Dinner in aid of the Mini/Junior rugby section, the event was again well supported with over 200 people attending.
MC Malcolm Lord and Special Guest speaker, England World Cup Winner, Neil Back entertained the audience. Neil also presented the Knee High to a Grasshopper Awards to five Junior players to mark their ten years as a Hopper taking them from U7 through to U16.
Under 16s Coach Julian Kollard introduced the boys, from the right above, Matt Mitchell, Cameron Wilkinson, Sam Read, Will Kollard and Alex Cheetham who all received their awards from Neil Back. Tom Treaddell also receives the award but wasn’t able to be there on Friday night.
Many thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to raising money for the benefit of Mini/Junior rugby at Hoppers, special thanks must go to Mini/Junior Chairman Hugh Duckworth, below, for another successful Sportsman’s Dinner!
