Alan Marsh, born in 1938, played for Preston Grasshoppers for over 20 years during the 1960s/70s seasons.

He also played for Lancashire, and appears on our Hoppers Honours' Board in the Dooley Suite.

Playing for Hoppers and Lancashire was a huge part of Alan and his wife's life.

He is also featured in the "Preston in the 1960's" history book, with the above Hoppers team photo depicted from the book. Alan is fifth in from the left in the back row, next to the very tall chap!

Alan's family is having a family funeral service at Preston Crematorium on Friday 10th October. We are proud to then host his private family funeral reception at Hoppers in the afternoon.

We would like share our thoughts and respect to the family at this sad time.
