It’s been a quiet week with only our 1st team playing Blackpool CC 1sts. But don’t worry its quality over quantity with Hoppers 1sts securing another 5-0 result 2 weeks on the trot, with no game going past 3 matches. Well done Nige, Kirby, Pete, Tom and Joe.

While it has been a league week the rest of our teams haven’t been lazy and arranged another friendly internal tournament. This time between the Hurricane Higgsons, The War Lords and the Wright Brothers.

Jokes aside the tournament was a fantastic success, producing some brilliant squash and giving players one heck of a workout. I have never seen so many players exhausted players.

Whether it was Colin and Tony's marathon 19-17 game or John and Chris throwing themselves across the court (literally in John’s case), there was some impressive playing from everyone.

Unfortunately, there can be only one winner and with 7 points for Hurricane Higgsons, The War Lords with 11 points and Wright Brothers with an outstanding 20 points so congrats team!

The other highlight of the evening was Lloyds new Dog Marble who clearly loves squash as much as his dad, running up and down the viewing balcony and watching as many games as possible.

Next week our 1sts are in action again against the Northern 2nds, as is our 5ths against Village Hotel Blackpool 1sts and our 2nds facing the Hoppers 3rds for another internal matchup…who will triumph this time?
