Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Football Club is delighted to share the National 2 North home and away fixtures for our 1st XV men's team, for the next season.

The season kicks off on Saturday 5th September at home against new-to-the-league Heath Rugby Union Football Club, winners of the Regional 1 North East last season. Let's see what they are made of!

The season then sets off with a balance of home and away fixtures, with Hoppers welcoming back Chester to Lightfoot Green in October after the two teams' exciting clash to finish to the 2024-25 season, where Chester faced relegation.

We will then look forward to the local derby against Fylde on Saturday 19th December as our Christmas home game.

Head coach Dan Orwin said on the fixtures: “It’s great to see our fixture list confirmed for the next season. There are some exciting games on the schedule for sure! With five new teams in the league in Sedgley Park, Heath, Harrogate, Huddersfield, and Chester, it’s going to be another competitive National Two North season.

“In terms of the clubs pushing toward the top end of the table, I’m sure that Sedgley Park will be strong, and will be looking to bounce straight back to National One. Tynedale also has an excellent 2025-26 season, finishing second and narrowly missing out on promotion. They will be looking to go one better this year.

“Of the three teams gaining promotion to the league, we know Huddersfield and Harrogate well, and they both have long histories of National League rugby. Heath had a great season too and will be looking to make their mark on the league.

“For us, we are very confident that if we can get the consistency of performance we showed at the end of last season, and if we can keep everyone fit, we can finish toward the top of the table. We have signed some quality players, and there is a real buzz about what we are doing at Preston."

Club secretary Graham Cox added: “There is certainly some great fixtures during the season against teams old and new. Come on down and watch some cracking games of rugby and bring your family and friends to show them what a fantastic afternoon out it can be.

“Over the next few days we will be pulling together our home game hospitality and sponsorship packages for the season, and have some exciting offerings and entertainment planned.
