We are now a month into our Winter League and seeing how cold it is getting our players are glad for the excuse to stay inside and work on their game, and considering how well we have been doing over the last few weeks, it seems to be paying off.

Last week our 1sts, 3rds and 4ths all had wins, and it was good to see Pete break his competitive game curse of losing by 3 games to 2 … by losing 3 games to 1 this time. Don’t worry Pete, we will perform an exorcism on your racquet, perhaps that’ll change your fortunes.

While our 5ths may have had a rough night with a loss to David Lloyd 2nds there were some great games played, showing the 5ths are adjusting to their new division quickly and will be back in the winning column next time for sure.

Next week is a break for all teams giving us the chance to take time off and come back refreshed.
