Hoppers head to Hare Lane on Saturday with National 2 North survival in their own hands. A win at Hare Lane will mean that Dan Orwin's men will not need other results to go their way. A loss though will mean that Hoppers need Billingham to beat Harrogate to ensure their National 2 North status for the 2025/26 season. There can be no mincing of words, this is a massive game for Preston Grasshoppers.
Chester have enjoyed a steady season back in National 2 North after being level transferred from National 2 West last year. 11 wins and 14 defeats see them sit in 7th as we enter the last week of the season. Hoppers meanwhile come into the fixture without a win since 8th February when Orwin's men saw off Otley 27-24 at Lightfoot Green.
The message from Orwin ahead of the game is very simple, "It's a massive game but thankfully our destiny is in our own hands. We're under pressure to get the win."
Milestones
Both Harry Holden and Ed Keohane have hit the 50 appearances mark in recent weeks and Club Captain Ally Murray continues to extend his record of league appearances. He makes his 311th league appearance this week having hit the 300 mark earlier in the season. A truly amazing achievement, well done Ally.
