The home side stole the game in the last minutes of the match with a penalty by Sam Freeman, from the better side of the field for a left-footed kicker.

The opening ten minutes were all Heath's though, scoring the first two tries from Tom Egan on three minutes and Pete Hampshire on eight minutes, both converted by veteran play-maker Chris Johnson.

Preston then started to get into the game, and after several mazy runs, made good ground, and Harry Holden charged over for Preston's first try, converted by Freeman.

On twenty five minutes, Freeman rounded the opposition's defence, he then converted his own try.

After the break, both sides competed well, with touch line to touch line play and driving forward interchanges.
After a catch and drive from a Preston line out, Zephyr Maher skipped over for a try between the posts, converted by Freeman, to take the lead, his penalty before half-time furthering it.

The visitors managed two further tries by Haynes, the first unconverted, and from a kick through in broken play, converted by Johnson.

Preston stole Heath's glory in the penultimate play with Freeman's successful penalty kick.
