Sunday saw the Sky Ride happen in Preston city centre with thousands participating. Preston Grasshoppers offered two games of rugby on Avenham Park, an adults game of touch and a children’s game of tag rugby, to the cyclists who were taking part in the Sky Ride. Thursday evening saw over 60 people descend on Preston’s Moor Park for an evening of touch rugby. People who had never played before as well as experienced club members arrived at 7pm for what turned out to be 3 games of touch rugby all being played simultaneously across a large section of the park.

Last Friday, 8th June, saw Preston Grasshoppers named as Lancashire’s ‘Senior Club of the Season’ at the Annual Lancashire Dinner & Presentation held at Hoppers. The club were also re-presented with the Lancashire Cup. Lancashire senior squad players Richard Morton and Dominic Moon were on hand to receive the trophy.
