In what will hopefully be a regular feature on the website this coming season, club captain John Peterson caught up with Director of Rugby Gareth Dyer to ask him a few questions about how the new coaching set up is getting on in pre-season. Other areas covered include Sean Long and Brian Ashton.

Congratulations to former 1st XV captain and management committee member John Chesworth who yesterday competed an Ironman Triathlon in 14hrs and 21mins. Preston Grasshoppers are saddened to hear that long time member Derek Day passed away on 6 July. Derek Day was a member of the club for many years and actively involved in the club over many of those years. Derek’s funeral will be held at St Helen’s, Churchtown, Garstang on Friday 20 July at 2pm.

Doreen Thompson, wife of former Hoppers’ Chairman, President and Team Secretary, George, passed away last Friday after a long illness.
