A quick round up from the Mini, Junior and Colts teams for games played on the 6th October:
The Under 9s sent a team to the Manchester Festival but, after two wins and a loss, lost out in the Plate semi-final in unfortunate circumstances. The Under 10s travelled to Fylde and put in a great effort with everyone in the team enthusiastically contributing despite a narrow defeat. The Under 11s entertained Fylde at home in a close contest not reflected in the score line of 22-35.
3 Junior teams were in action in the Blacksticks Blue (Lancashire) Cup, the Under 13s will have to wait another week to start their campaign.
There were wins for the U14s 10-0 against Fylde in a fiercely contested game, the U15s ran out comfortable winners 30-0 against a game Didsbury outfit and the U16s had an impressive 20-0 win against Manchester.
The Junior Colts enjoyed the fine weather on Sunday afternoon at Hoppers running out 48-17 winners against Cockermouth, while the Senior Colts pulled off an emphatic 71-7 win away at Lymm.
All in all a good weekend for the Hoppers teams.
