2nd XV away at Sale

Date: 18 September 2014

The second team sit top of the embryonic Bateman Premier League after two convincing victories against Chester and Caldy.

This Saturday sees Young’s men travel down the M60 to meet Sale FC. Unfortunately Hoppers don’t get the chance to play at the iconic Heywood Road so they have to make do with the Carrington marshes.

As ever there are a few tweaks to the match day squad as injuries or late vacations deprive Young of Moulding, Yates and Wilkinson.

Hoppers will be keen to return to Lightfoot Green with the points as Sale dealt their title aspirations a real blow last season on a soggy and windswept January afternoon.

A real piece of positive news is the return of Andy Napier to the bench. The flanker suffered a horrific injury just before Christmas so everybody is delighted to see him back.

Meet 12.30pm @ Hoppers or 1.30 @ Carrington.
