Following last weekend’s clinching of the Bateman BMW Premier league in their final league game, the 2nd XV squad and management will be presented with a celebratory trophy at this weekend’s final 1st XV league game against Loughborough Students. In appreciation of the efforts of all involved in clinching the Championship, a large number of the Hoppers support have donated funds to provide the squad with a pre-match meal and drinks before and during Saturday’s game as a reward for their efforts.
Special thanks therefore go to George Erdozain, Bill Bailey, 1869 Club, John Chesworth, Tim Haley, Mike Gregory, Hayden Gigg, Gary Stanley, Michael Lough, Nick Jacques, Willy Mould, Martin Bowden-Williams, Ken Moore, Jim Moore, Gareth Dyer and Neil Ashton who have between them put £1,020 in the kitty for the squad. On behalf of the 2nd XV we thank them all for their generosity. The squad is very grateful for the gesture.
