2nd XV face Altrincham

Date: 06 December 2012

Winter weather permitting the second team will play their final Bateman Premier League game at Lightfoot Lane on Saturday. The champions face bottom of the table Altrincham Kersal knowing that victory will probably confirm them as winners of the preliminary league ladder. Young’s men will be anxious to get the fixture played as it means they can put their feet up until January 5th when Conference A kicks off.

Injury or prior commitments have deprived Young of Peterson, Doney, Conway, Mabaya and Sam Gale whilst Tuff and Morton are promoted to the first team. Hoppers still pick an extremely strong side as Josh Thundercliffe, Andy Napier, Ian Sibbit, Andrew Pollock and Terry McGuire all return to the squad. Scrum-half Craig Aikman makes his debut for the blue & whites, having just signed from neighbours Fylde whilst young Lancashire prospect Oliver Farley starts in the back row.

Kick off is scheduled for 2.15pm with the squad due to meet at 12.30 prompt. The full squad is as follows:

Chris Gale
Alan Martindale
Josh Thundercliffe
Dan Fletcher
Alex Austin
Oliver Farley
Killian Wallace
Andy Napier
Craig Aikman
Lewis Allen
Anthony Elliott
Ian Sibbit
Harry Reddick
Oliver Yates
Mark Murray

Reps: Terry McGuire, Andrew Pollock, Josh Oldland.
