2nd XV face crucial clash with Caldy

Date: 15 February 2013

The second team face Caldy at Lightfoot Green on Saturday as they look to maintain the pressure on leaders Macclesfield. Such is the nature of the league this season that every match can justifiably be tagged as a “must win” contest. Caldy overcame Hoppers in an Autumn mud bath at Lightfoot Green but the champions redressed the balance in early January with a well deserved victory at Paton Field.

Preston enter the fixture looking to continue their excellent form and maintain the momentum gained from two excellent victories over Burnage and Sedgley Park. In an ideal world coach Young would call on an unchanged squad but as ever injuries, external commitments and hard earned call ups to the first team see a number of changes to the match day eighteen. However it looks an exceptionally strong line up and the lads would welcome your support if you’re unable to make the trip over to Huddersfield with Mike Lough and his men. The squad, which convenes at 12.45 in readiness for a 2.15 kick off, is as follows:

Tom McGuiness
Brad Tuff
Dan Madden
Wayne Steel
Dan Fletcher
Jonny Doney
Sam Gale
Kilian Wallace
Phil Raw
Mark Murray
Ollie Yates
Cameron Berry
Ollie Farley
Anthony Elliott
Harry Reddick

Reps: Alan Jones, Jonti Wilson, Tom Smith
