2nd XV face Macc test

Date: 10 January 2013

After last week’s fine victory against Caldy the second team face an equally tough fixture against perennial title challengers Macclesfield. Young’s men enjoyed a comprehensive victory against the men from Priory Park when the sides met in the Autumn sunshine and a repeat performance will serve further notice that they’re mounting a serious bid to retain their Bateman Premier League Title.

Lewis Allen and Alex Austin’s fine form is rewarded with a call up to the first team squad whilst Cameron Berry, Tom Grimes and Sam Gale are unavailable. However the squad is boosted by the presence of Eddie Webster and the return from injury and Christmas leave of Ian Sibbit, Mark Rigbye, Harry Reddick, Matt Conway and Andrew Pollock. Meanwhile prop Tom McGuinness makes his first start since joining the club. Additionally there is a welcome return for Jonti Wilson who has been working away for the last three years.

Kick off at Lightfoot Green is scheduled for 2.15pm and the lads would welcome your support on what promises to be a cold but fine afternoon. Meet time is 12.45pm and the full squad is as follows:

Tom McGuinness
John Peterson
Dan Madden
Dan Fletcher
Mark Rigbye
Kilian Wallace
Eddie Webster
Andy Napier (c)
Matt Conway
Mark Murray
Anthony Elliott
Ian Sibbit
Oliver Farley
Andrew Pollock
Harry Reddick

Reps: Oga Mabaya, Jonti Wilson, Harrison Moulding
