The second team host Stockport at Lightfoot Lane tomorrow having lost top spot in he Bateman Premier League by virtue of last Friday’s postponement. Hoppers enter the fixture as favourites as the visitors have struggled this season, winning just two of their fixtures so far. Coach John Young and his men are not taking the fixture lightly though as fixtures between the two sides are generally high scoring, entertaining contests. As per the often used rugby cliche, both sides like to play the game in the right way and the men from Bramhall were heavily involved in last season’s tie race.
Last time out Hoppers faced Vale of Lune but only six from that squad are involved this weekend. The senior squad has been affected by injuries and unavailability but Young is still able to select and strong eighteen.
