The table topping twos take a trip down the M60 on Saturday to face Stockport. The men from South Manchester are arguably this season’s surprise package in the Bateman Premier League and currently sit third in the table.
Hoppers face a challenging afternoon against a side who just a fortnight ago defeated the resurgent Fylde Hawks. However Coach Young is able to welcome a host of experience back into the fold as Ally Murray, Jack Banks, Jonny Doney and Andy Napier all come into the pack. In fact selection is likely to get tougher in the coming weeks as Hoppers enter a run of three crucial games in which they face the sides immediately below them. The likes of Jack Walker, Dave Perry, and Connor Trueman are all approaching fitness whist this season’s talisman Chris Taylor will be available after being given the week off.
Young’s men kick off at 2.15 with the squad convening at 12.45 in Stockport.
