Hoppers 2s travel to South Manchester for a Raging Bull Cup tie against Broughton Park. Mike Lough’s men have dusted themselves down after last week’s narrow defeat against an extremely fortunate Sedgley Park side.
This week’s opponents have struggled of late and lie fifth in Conference B following a 54-0 defeat against Vale of Lune.
Hoppers make a number of changes with Phil Mills and Alex Austin having been promoted to the first team squad. Additionally three young Colts come into the eighteen for their first taste of senior rugby. Lewis Allen, Ben Jackson and Sam Gale have impressed for Kai Burn’s squad this year and deserve their chance.
Meet time is 12noon with a view to a 2.15 kick off. Unfortunately there is no physio available this week but those who require strapping can probably do so from 11.45 onwards. The squad is as follows:
