Hoppers travel to Manchester for a tricky looking clash against Broughton Park who always provide a stern test. The twos will be looking to maintain their excellent defensive record which has seen them concede a miserly 13 points in their opening four matches. This run includes three successive clean sheets since their opening fixture against Macclesfield.
The twos have trained well this week although emphasis has rightly been placed on keeping their feet on the ground and supporting the first team who have a huge match against Westoe on Saturday.
Congratulations go to Chris Gale and Ally Murray who have been promoted to the first team squad. As a result the second team welcome Cornishman Connor Murphy to the squad.
There are also recalls for Liam Launders and Dave Chadwick whilst Alan Howarth returns from a shoulder injury. Despite the changes the twos will look to continue their winning run and more importantly persisting with their expansive style of rugby which has served them well to date.
Meet time is 1pm prompt at Hoppers or 2pm at Broughton Park. Good luck to all the Hoppers teams this weekend.
