The second team entertain old foes Vale of Lune at Lightfoot Green on Saturday with a slim chance of topping the Bateman Premier League before it splits in two.
Hoppers again field a much changed but by no means weaker squad. The overall strength of resources available to Dave Baldwin is illustrated by the fact that the twos welcome Mark Irving, Chris Lowden and Owen McKenna from last weeks first team. Meanwhile, Phil Mills, Wayne Steel, Andy Napier, Doug Grimes and Alan Haworth all return to the fold.
Vale’s fortunes have been mixed so far but they like nothing better than to beat Hoppers. However Lough’s men will be keen to add another impressive victory to what has been a great campaign to date.
