The 2nd XV host reigning champions Sedgley Park at Lightfoot Green this Saturday, intent on getting back to winning ways after three straight defeats.

Last weekend saw Young’s men knocked out of the cup, falling 18-30 to this season’s standout performers, Chester. Hoppers suffered a league reverse against the same opposition some seven days previously but put in a far better performance on home soil.
Young’s men started strongly and scored three fine tries (via Skofic, Akrigg and Wilkinson) but found themselves overpowered by a very direct and efficient side, who deservedly progressed to the next round.
This weekend sees Hoppers make a number of changes with Jack Allen, Matt Frings, Will Hunt and Connor Trueman all coming into the starting fifteen, whilst Burns and Aspinall are amongst the replacements.
At the time of writing Cheshire dominate the league with Chester and Caldy occupying the top two spots. Hoppers sit third, just above Sedgley who will be desperate to improve on their last league outing when they were thumped 77-0 at Caldy.
