The second team take on defending champions Macclesfield at Lightfoot Green this Saturday in their biggest game of the season so far. The visitors pipped Hoppers to the title last season but those wounds have long healed and Young’s men are intent on consolidating their unbeaten start.
A victory would consign the visitors to their third straight defeat whilst keeping Caldy and Fylde at arms length for another week.
Coach Young has had some selection headaches this week and there are a few lads who are unlucky to miss out. Meanwhile Young himself is pressed into action after a twenty minute cameo at Altrincham last weekend.
The squad has trained well again and are in confident rather than complacent mood. Saturday will be the squad’s toughest test since the Raging Bull Cup Final so the lads would appreciate a healthy turn out down at the Green. Kick off is 3pm with the squad due to convene at 1.30pm.
