Blue Wren are the proud sponsors of this weekend’s match against Pocklington.
Founded in 2010, Blue Wren are a software and web development business based in Winckley Square, Preston.
The company employs 20 people and specialises in building bespoke software tools to help businesses improve their efficiency or realise business growth opportunities.
Blue Wren is owned and run by Michael Lough and Phil Hodson. The two met while working together at Booths between 1997 and 2002. Michael then left Booths for pastures new before convincing Phil to join him at Blue Wren nearly ten years later.
The connection between Preston Grasshoppers and Blue Wren is very close. The company has provided a range of digital support to ‘Hoppers over the years and Michael is also a former player and coach at the club.
In fact, it is 20 years ago to the day this Saturday that he was collected by Ken Moore at Preston Station having arrived from Adelaide, Australia. He played is first game for Hoppers two days later and never looked back.
