Preston Grasshoppers RFC is delighted to announce that the Boxing Day 2014 Testimonial Match has been awarded to Malcolm Alden.
Malcolm has recently stepped down as Club President after 4 years in the role and is a well known face at Lightfoot Green. He has been involved at Hoppers for many a year and is perhaps best known as part of the Colts coaching team who brought through the likes of Steve Borthwick and the Sanderson brothers. When Steve Borthwick was made England captain he found time to gave Malcolm a call which shows how highly he is regarding by those who have worked with him.
The game between a Malcolm Alden XV and a Bill Bailey XV kicks off at 1.30PM and admission is £5 including players. It would be great to see as many ex-colts who played under Malcolm turn out even if just for 10 minutes.
There will also be a raffle with all proceeds plus the gate takings going to the Rosemere Cancer Foundation. The bar will of course be open and food will be available.
