At the Boxing Day Charity Testimonial for Chris Johnson we raised over £1300 for Chris’ chosen charity; Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Hoppers Mini/Junior Chairman Hugh Duckworth had the pleasure to hand over the cheque to representatives of the charity who visited the club on Sunday morning. Dave and Julie Oliver and Julie’s dog Queenie accepted the cheque on behalf of the Charity from Hugh watched on by U8 Charlie Holden, Chris Johnson and Alex Johnson.
The money will go towards the costs of training a new a Guide Dog that will go on to provide freedom and independence to someone with sight loss.
