Charity Cider Tasting

Date: 11 January 2012

A charity cider tasting will be taking place after the Bromsgrove match this Saturday in the Preston Grasshoppers main club house.  The varied selection of brews will be vying for the coveted Super Cider Trophy – a very well known and sought after award in the Preston area.

There will be 5 brews on offer, lovingly created by a number of former rugby players from Preston and Fylde including Tom Moore, Craig McIntyre, David Preston and Michael Lough.

Visitors will be invited to sample a small glass of the different brews for a small fee of £0.50.  Visitors will also be asked to judge the ciders to decide the master brewer of 2012.

All monies raised will go to the CRY charity (Cardiac Risk in the Young) in memory of Stevie Wiggins, a former Preston Grasshopper and cider lover who died tragically in 2005 aged 30.
