Hoppers welcome Sheffield Tigers to Lightfoot Green this Saturday in what is a crucial National 2 North game for both sides.
A quick look at the league table shows why with both sides have picked up a solitary victory thus far with the Tigers sitting one point above Hoppers thanks to a losing bonus point in defeat at Tynedale.

The show features a weekly game with highlights, interviews and features on YouTube every week. The channel has racked up over 29,000 hits already this season and we will post the clip from this week on the website once it’s released.

Team News
Head Coach Joel Unsworth is forced into changes this week due to illness and injury. Joining the squad are Harry Thompson and Will Riley who are dual registered with Sale Sharks. Both Harry and Will were at Kirkham Grammar School last year and part of the team who reached the National Cup Final at Twickenham. Joining them in the squad is Harry Swarbrick who has spent the Summer playing Rugby League with North Wales Crusaders and has signed with Rochdale Hornets for the 2023 season.
Looking ahead to the game Head Coach Joel Unsworth commented “After a weekend off the boys’ energy and enthusiasm has been exemplary. We continue to grow and develop as a squad and I am confident that we are in a position to get the job done.”
