Only two Hoppers teams survived the first round cull in the Raging Bull Cup Competition last week, and the fourths only managed that with the help of a bye!
However the Second Round takes place on the 21st of January next year and both teams have been handed away ties. That means we haven’t been awarded a home game in this years competition from the seven attempts made by the Cups Committee!
Raging Bull Cup – Round 2
The Seconds face a trip to south Manchester where Broughton Park 2 are their opponents.
Raging Bull Trophy – Round 2
The fourth team travel to the same city as the 2nd XV with a visit to Aldwinians 3.
Lightfoot Green is set to be a lonely place again on a Cup Saturday as the First XV are also on their travels with the long journey to Westoe that day.
Lancashire Cup
Meanwhile, the draw for the 1st Round of this season’s Lancashire Cup has been made, with Hoppers making a visit to Round Ash Park the home of Leigh RFC from North 1 West, which lays two levels below National 2 North.
It is planned that the Semi Finals will also be played mid-week and the Final on Bank Holiday Monday the 7th of May.
