Dave Worth RIP – Funeral Details

Date: 20 July 2021

Preston Grasshoppers regret to announce the death of Dave Worth while out cycling on Sunday 18 July 2021.

“Daisy” had a long association with the Hoppers featuring in the Centenary games in 1969 as well as appearing in many other teams over the years and was instrumental in securing fixtures for two very successful lower team tours to Narbonne in 1979 and 1980.

He was for many years a PE Teacher at Kirkham Grammar School and Hoppers of several generations will remember his coaching them. As well as his rugby he was a skiing coach for some seasons in the Alps, despite the replacement of various parts of his knees over the years.

Our thoughts are with his wife Sandra, and his sons Andy, Chris and Rob and their families in this sad time.
