Disciplinary Committe hands out ban

Date: 30 December 2012

At a meeting of the clubs Disciplinary Committee last night, the committee imposed a four week suspension on hooker Phil Mills following his dismissal in last weeks 1st XV defeat at Leicester Lions. Having considered the match DVD and taking the players version of events into account the committee felt that the offence was at the “lower end” in terms of punishment to be given under the sanctioning guidance provided by the RFU. Mills will not be available for selection until 12th January. The committee was headed by the clubs Disciplinary Chairman Robert Dobson and included John Peterson (Rugby Committee) and Gareth Dyer (Director of Rugby).
