Congratulations to Preston Grasshoppers Mini/Juniors Sam Dugdale and Kieran Wilkinson who have been picked for England Under 16’s in their match against Wales on Saturday 16th April.
Sam (pictured above, back row, second from left) has been picked to start the game at Number 8 with Kieran (front row, sixth from right) selected amongst the replacements.
This is a fanstastic achievement for two talented rugby players, Kieran has been at Hoppers since he was 5 and was awarded his “Knee high to a Grasshopper” award earlier this year, while Sam started relatively late as an Under 12 but has progressed brilliantly.
Both are pupils at Kirkham Grammar school and have played all season for the First XV and are in the Sale Sharks Academy playing in the U18s team.
We would like to wish both Sam and Kieran the best of luck against Wales. You are a credit to the club and yourselves.
