Entwistle Green Sponsor Broadstreet Game

Date: 27 January 2016

This Saturday we are pleased to be welcoming Entwistle Green to Lightfoot Green as our main match sponsors for the 1st XV game with Broadstreet.

Entwistle Green’s party on Saturday will be lead by Regional Sales Director John Fisher. Ahead of the game we caught up with John to ask him some questions about Entwistle Green as well as getting him to look ahead to the 6 Nations.

Who are Entwistle Green and what services do you provide?

Entwistle Green are a well established property retail business in the North West with 44 outlets and are part of Countrywide PLC, the largest property retailer in the UK. Our network and professionally trained sales colleagues can provide our customers with a trustworthy and comprehensive range of services. We are heavily engaged in new and second hand house sales, land and development schemes, major house builders, investors and landlords in acquition and disposal schemes, the rental market and financial services.

Why have Entwistle Green chosen to sponsor a Preston Grasshoppers game?

As a company this is our third consecutive year of match day sponsorship. Our business relies heavily on our brand awareness and network of outlets with a high concentration of customers living in the Preston conurbation. Our match day experience brings together valued clients, local professionals and social colleagues to an established landmark rugby club to enjoy the entertainment both on and off the pitch.

What connections do Entwistle Green have to Preston Grasshoppers?

John Fisher has been a VP member of the club for the past 15 years and has been on the management committee in the past. After a youthful rugby career representing England Schools, Oxford University and Sale, John managed just the one painful out of retirement game for the Strollers! John’s management team use the club’s excellent meeting facilities on a weeky basis and is a social mecca for some key Entwistle Green characters.

Why should Hoppers members consider using Entwistle Green?

I am sure Hoppers members would like to support local established companies who also provide investment in the club and this two way loyalty is shown in our 20% discount scheme to all members who are looking to sell their home.

What are your predictions for the game with Broadstreet?

After a fantastic win last Saturday against Stourbridge I would expect Hoppers to notch up another home win.

Who will win the 6 Nations and why?

England to bounce back from a disastrous World Cup with a new coach and captain and some exciting new talent.

Will Eddie Jones be a success as England coach?

He models his approach/selection/leadership on that of the All Blacks; he is looking for an aggressive, fast and ball winning pack at the breakdown; in the back line he is looking for pace and strength with desire to be creative. He will lead them to a different and a new level of performance.

We look forward to welcoming John, his colleagues, clients and guests to Lightfoot Green on Saturday.
