On Saturday for the 1st XV game with Stourbridge our main sponsors are Entwistle Green, a well known and established firm of professional estate agents who have strong ties with Hoppers.
Entwistle Green, founded in the 1920’s, have 47 branches throughout the NW and are part of Countrywide PLC, the largest network of estate agents in the UK. The core strength of their business is in Lancashire and offer a complete home moving service, residential lettings and represent a number of established local and national builders.
The property market is once again a big topic of conversation both in professional and private circles and with low interest rates likely to remain for sometime and the Government Help to Buy schemes encouraging entry and increased transactions, it is fitting that at this start of 2014 we have Entwistle Green as our sponsors today.
Entwistle Green have had strong ties with Hoppers over the past few years with John Fisher providing a link between company and club both in sponsorship support and the use of the excellent conference facilities. Aside from the challenges of the property market, John’s main passion is rugby and it is fitting that the two can come together here as a venue at Hoppers. We managed to catch up with John to ask him some questions ahead of the game on Saturday.
Why are Entwistle Green keen to sponsor a Preston Grasshoppers 1st XV game?
We are keen at the start of 2014 to raise the profile of ETG when there is so much positive hype about the property market as well as entertain our clients, business associates and colleagues.
What services do Entwistle Green offer that our supporters might be interested in?
We offer a 10% discount for all Hoppers members on our sales commission and we offer a fantastic range of marketing packages for all our clients to achieve the maximum exposure and best price for all the houses that we sell.
What are the connections between Entwistle Green and Preston Grasshoppers?
I have been a VP and a former member of the management committee for over 15 years and we use the club’s conference facilities every week for meetings and social functions. We also take a sponsorship package with the club every season.
John had a distinguished playing career so we asked him some questions about that as well.
