PGRFC is pleased to announce that experienced second rower Chris Roddy has again committed himself to the Lightfoot Green club for the upcoming season.
A virtual ever present since coming to the club, Chris has enjoyed an excellent season for the club and celebrated his 50th 1st XV appearance for Hoppers during the campaign.
The former Macclesfield, Stockport and Stourbridge player has also represented Cheshire and has been a mainstay of the British Police XV over the last few seasons.
Chris said “I’m delighted to re-sign for Hoppers for next season. As a group we are excited to be back to where we feel we belong in National 2 North and really looking forward to the season ahead. This team has a great feeling of unity and collectively about it and that was perhaps lacking a couple of years ago. Hopefully we can really compete in this league this time round and shock a few doubters”.
Head Coach Paul Arnold said “Chris has put in a number of powerful displays this year and has been an important part of our set-piece. His work rate around the field has also been high and he is another experienced campaigner who offers a lot off the field as well”.
