Experienced campaigner and assistant coach James Fitzpatrick will again be part of the Hoppers on field and off field set up for their return to National 2 North next season.
After an impressive first season with the club, “Fitzy” will again be leading by example and hoping to bring his experience to the fore to guide the club in its return to Level 4 rugby.
A former Newcastle Falcon with close to 250 appearances under his belt, mainly at the higher echelons of the league pyramid, the powerful midfielder will be a key man for the club.
Speaking on his re-signing James said “I am really looking forward to taking Preston into National Two. Hopefully we can build on this season and retain the winning habit in what is going to be a very competitive division. We have built steadily over the last 12 months but there is still lots to improve on and we know we can get better as a team”.
Head Coach Paul Arnold said “Fitzy has been superb for us since he came in. I think the lads are probably all scared of him so when he speaks they listen! He has put in place some important protocols on and off the pitch and he leads by example on and off the pitch. I’m excited to see how he goes in National 2.”
