Hoppers hosted Glasgow Hawks at Lightfoot Green on Saturday in pre-season action for the first time since 2005.
Despite 18 players being unavailable the lads gave a good account of themselves with tries from Luke Procter and the recently re-signed Christian Taylor proving to be not quite enough as Hoppers were edged out 12-14.
Pre-season preparations continue this Saturday (24th August) when Hoppers host Rotherham Titans at 2.30pm.
