Last Sunday (12th Oct) saw the U10’s split the 36 strong squad in 2, sending a 14 man crew to the Manchester Tournament with the remaining 20 or so training at home.
The Manchester Tournament squad played their 4 group games against some strong opposition from Macclesfield, Chester, Bowdon and Sandbach, unfortunately losing all four games but playing some good rugby along the way. The standard of rugby was high, the tackling being particularly fierce giving the lads something to think about.
We did not progress past the group stage. Some great individual performances from Freddie Jones, Charlie Lochhead, Big Jack Lightowler to name but a few.
Well done lads, we’re getting better all the time…. Thanks to all the support crew (Mums, Dads, etc….) a good day out with no rain!
