Hoppers Under 13s suffered agonising deafeat in the Blacksticks Blue Junior Plate final on Sunday losing out in a drop goal shoot out after drawing with Southport 10-10 in normal time.
It was a very close game and the boys played really well and just lacked a bit of luck when it mattered. Hoppers missed a very kickable penalty just before the end too to make things worse.
It was a great effort to get to the final and the Under 13s can look forward to next years Cup competition with confidence and should qualify for the top group.
