Under 10s continue to improve

Hoppers U10s v Fylde U10s

Another great morning for Rugby, with the weather still holding out and 20+ travelled from Fylde to come and play what is always an entertaining fixture against our Hoppers boys. Both Hoppers and Fylde split into two teams, with a few newer lads from both also having a joint training session. Four games were played between the two sets of teams, with varying levels of success amongst the games played.

Once again the physical element of the game was met with a degree of excitement from most, with a lot of the contact, rucking and mauling being highly competitive. It was only on a few occasions the Hoppers boys need reminding to not be too nice and allow the opposition to take the ball too easily. What was tremendous to see on Sunday, the boys finally took it upon themselves to start passing the ball around in open in play and not just for the sake of it, but on most occasions, the pass came with a purpose which opened up the game. This really was a wonderful sight to behold.

The cohesion amongst the Hoppers boys is starting to build really well as more games are played, with communication starting to improve on the field and an understanding starting to form around the organisation needed, especially around the scrum and the movement following such a set piece.
