The U7’s had another busy Sunday, this time at the Rossendale festival.
With one festival under our belt, both players and coaches seem more relaxed with the whole affair. Kirby Lonsdale fielded a strong squad as did Altrincham but we held our own in some of the pool games with some good victories and a decent amount of tries scored. The team made up of George, Hugo, Nathan, Harvey and Keinam, after securing two wins in their pool games, sadly lost to Lymm in the knock out round of the Vase but we had victory with the team of Thomas, Connor, Lewis, Joel and Soren winning the Bowl competition. Great defensive work and some awareness of space when going forward to score tries.
All the boys were fantastic especially with their endurance and are beginning to appreciate sportsmanship and teamwork. They also had the benefit of meeting ex PGH player, Mike Haley now at Sale Sharks. Thanks to all the boys and parents for their support.
