The under 9s managed to field three teams at this year’s Hoppers’ festival, despite being down to 21 players through injury and withdrawals.
It was always going to be tough playing without substitutes but the lads did themselves proud with Hoppers White losing in the semi-final of the cup to the eventual (and deserved) winners Wigan, Hoppers Green losing narrowly to Darlington in the Bowl Final, and Fireflies losing to Fylde (aaarrrggghhh!) in the final of the Vase.
Every squad member who turned up on the day had plenty of game time, well done to you all, and now for the tour……
