The second team conclude their Bateman Premier League campaign on Friday evening with a home fixture against local rivals Fylde. Young’s men can (technically speaking) retain their championship but would need to overcome the men from The Woodlands by 183 points.
Therefore it would seem inevitable that Macclesfield are going to usurp Hoppers as champions despite losing more games than Young’s men since the season commenced in September. This season the league rules have favoured the men from Cheshire but Hoppers are determined to come back stronger than ever next season.
Young selects a strong side in his quest for a clean sweep over the Claret & Ambers although a number of Senior Colts are rested as they have a huge game against Lymm to prepare for.
