This Saturday (8th April) is our annual Ladies Day at the club, and after the 1st XV have finished their battle with Harrogate, we will be showing the Grand National on the big screens and running a sweepstake.
40 numbers will go into a hat to represent each horse, and it will cost £5 to pick a horse. Once all 40 have been picked, the numbers will go back into the hat and the process will start again, so a syndicate ownership will build up for each horse.
There will be good cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, with half the takings going towards winnings and the other half to club fundraising. If we can get 250-300 bets then the 1st prize cash payout could be as much as £50!
Ladies Day hospitality sold out very quickly and we’re expecting a great crowd at the club this weekend, so we hope everyone will stick about after the 1st XV game and have some fun with the Grand National sweepstake.
