Great defensive display by 3rd VX overpowers Waterloo

Date: 07 December 2011

Very blustery conditions by the Mersey restricted the flowing play from both sides. Ollie Hamilton, playing his first game for the 3rds impressed on his debut, he knocked over an early penalty to settle his nerves. Also a massive relief that shakes isn’t our kicker today!

Throughout this start to the season impressive forward power has been ever present, Copper controlled well at the back of the scrum for a drive over try.

Nearly as impressive as the forwards size was hoppers 10, 12 and 13, Gav, Jonesy and Shakes, average(over) weight….

After several phases of play Shakes battered his way over from short range, Skipper Jacko said after the game(and a few alot of beer) “There was no stopping the fat knacker!” Conversion knocked over by Ollie Hamilton.

Great performance from the team!
