HopFest nearly here!

Date: 29 June 2015

This coming weekend sees Preston Grasshoppers host its first ever beer festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The festival will feature real ales, craft ales and ciders from around the region and beyond!

For a full list of the ales and ciders which will be featured at the festival please see our Beers and Ciders pages.

The festival will be opened by the Thwaites Shire Horses on Friday at 12 noon with the afternoon seeing the hosting of the best business networking session in Preston this year! The session is open from noon and attendees can pay on the door. The cost is £3 and includes a glass and festival programme.

The festival then opens to the public from 7pm on Friday evening with live music and food until late. Club members are invited to attend a special preview session from 5pm on Friday. Saturday sees the festival reopen at 11am with more live music and a touch rugby tournament taking place from 1pm onwards. Even more live music will see the festival go on until late on Saturday night. If there are any ales or ciders left to consume we’re open from 12 noon on Sunday until the festival closes at 4pm!

A great range of food will be available throughout the weekend including burgers and sausages from Brendan Anderton Butchers and pies from Pietastic at Clayton Park Bakery.

Advance tickets can be bought from Skiddle with a discount on multi-day tickets. Alternatively you can purchase full price advance tickets at full price at the club or pay on the door. Entry is £3 and  includes a festival glass and programme.

Live music throughout the weekend comes from some great local talent including Ghost Dancer, Tusk, Blokes and a Bird, Avengers Anonymous, Kathy Anderson, Keith Mitchell and Ben Hackett. For the full lineup with times please see our ‘Music at HopFest‘ page.

The club would like to thank all the local businesses and organisations who have kindly sponsored barrels at the festival. For a full list of sponsors please click here.

HopFest is the first of many events to be held at Preston Grasshoppers in the lead up to the 2015 World Cup.
